Haringey Walking Weekend 2016

Printer-friendly version
Parkland Walk
Event Date:
Saturday, 1 October 2016 to Sunday, 2 October 2016
Poster/More Information:

Next weekend will provide you with the perfect outdoor leisure activity. A number of guided walks will take place in the borough between the 1 and 2 October, walking in groups of around 20 people through parks such as Bruce Castle or places like Muswell Hill.

These walks have been arranged by Haringey Federation of Residents Associations and Haringey Friends of Parks Forum giving you the opportunity to view Haringey in a relaxing and sometimes historic context. Find out more about Luke Howard ‘the Namer of Clouds’ or find out who lived in Denmark Terrace. Also what is the legendary Kinks relationship with Muswell Hill - could they be the Muswell Hillbillies?

All guided walks are free to join. However, these walks are proving to be very popular so you are advised to register with the Walk Leader of your chosen walk(s) before this weekend if possible. Details of how to contact each Walk Leader is available at Haringey Council What's On events and Haringey Friends of Parks Forum - Walking Weekend 2016.

Happy walking!
